Handle to Here, 2025

Glass, wood, plexi, silver, tin, aluminum, LED

7” x 12” x 5”

Handle to Here recognizes a seemingly mundane architectural form, the bathroom door handle in my former architecture studio.

Removed from its context and reconstructed in stained glass, the handle sheds its functional role and becomes an isolated study of touch, repetition, and use.  What was once grasped absentmindedly is slowed down and re-presented as an object of care, inviting attention to the intimate relationship between body, architecture, and the overlooked elements that quietly structure everyday life.

Rendered in soft pink glass and illuminated from within, the piece makes visible the marks of its making.
